November Newsletter

Dear Parents,
We hope everyone has recovered from Trick-or-Treating. We enjoyed seeing all the children in their costumes at the party. A great time was had by all. Thank you for all the goodies contributed to our party. The children enjoyed them and so did we!

It’s hard to believe November is already here. This month’s theme is “Sharing is Caring”. Our classroom is excited about falling leaves, turkeys, Pilgrims and Native Americans. This month we will learn about Election Day, Veteran’s Day, transportation, sharing, we will begin our lessons on numbers and learn all about Thanksgiving. During the coming weeks your child will bring home many things to share with you – crafts and art projects, number, science and language activities and lots of stories. Your interest in and appreciation of these special projects is extremely important in encouraging and stimulating your child’s desire to learn and grow.

Please check your child’s class activity calendar for special days such as Show-n-Tell and our Thanksgiving Feast where the children will become Pilgrims & Native Americans and all share something for the feast – more info will follow.

As the weather starts getting colder please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play – jeans or sweatpants and sneakers – and please, please, please make sure all of their belongings are labeled with their names – jackets, hats, gloves, etc. Thanks.

Don’t forget to check the clothes in your child’s shoebox to make sure they have clothes for the colder season – some still have summer clothes in them.

Just as a reminder – school will be closed on Monday, November 11th in observation of Veterans Day. School will also be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving. School will reopen on Monday, December 2nd.

Some children are being dropped off earlier or picked up later than they are registered for which may put us out of compliance with the staff/child ratio requirements. Please adhere to the schedule you registered your child for. We are staffed according to the number of children registered for early drop off and/or after school care. If you need longer hours please advise us so we can update your schedule and tuition rate as well as adjust our staff /child ratio if need be. Thanks for your understanding with this matter.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding our program or your child please feel free to call or drop by at any time. Remember, our door is always open.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS!

WISHING A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Sincerely,
Carol, Laurie and Staff
