March Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Two and a half more weeks and spring will finally be here.  We have a very busy month ahead of us with Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, a favorite author of ours, St. Patrick’s Day, the arrival of spring and many other fun activities.

This month we will continue the letters of the alphabet.  Other topics for the month include Dr. Seuss and rhyming, St. Patrick’s Day fun, and Spring Crafts.  The change in weather in March as well as the arrival of spring will lead to all kinds of science lessons that the children love to do.

Hopefully the weather will start getting warmer, so please dress your child appropriately for outdoor play – sneakers, jeans, rubber soled shoes — NO party shoes, NO party dresses and NO sandals – safety before fashion please.  Thanks!

Picture Day is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 5th.  As soon as we receive confirmation and the packets from the photographer we will send them home with all the details.  Be sure to mark the date on your calendar.

Our summer program still has some openings.  It provides a happy and relaxed environment where your child can continue to develop important social skills while enjoying outdoor play.  If you are thinking about sending your child and have not registered as of yet, please do so as soon as possible.  If you have registered for summer camp and/or September and have not paid the registration fee/fees they must be paid now.  Thanks.

The most up to date phone list for your child’s class is attached.

Just a few reminders:

If you have not returned your child’s report as of yet please do so now – we need it for June’s progress report.  At that time you will be able to keep it.

Please check your child’s bin of clothes to make sure they have a change of clothes – some are empty.  Also note that some children have outgrown the clothes from September or the clothes are not appropriate for the coming weather.

Sunday, March 10th is Daylight Savings Time – remember to set your clocks ahead one hour.

Show -n- Tell is Tuesday, March 12th.

Friday, March 15th we will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day – don’t forget to wear green.
As always, if you have any questions please give us a call.
