November Newsletter

We hope everyone has recovered from Trick-or-Treating.  We enjoyed seeing all the children in their costumes at the party.  A great time was had by all.  Thank you for all the goodies contributed to our party.  The children enjoyed them and so did we!

It’s hard to believe November is already here.  This month’s theme is “Sharing is Caring”.  Our classroom is excited about falling leaves, turkeys, Pilgrims and Native Americans.  This month we will learn about Election Day, Veteran’s Day, transportation, sharing, we will begin our lessons on numbers and learn all about Diwali and Thanksgiving. During the coming weeks your child will bring home many things to share with you – crafts and art projects, number, science and language activities and lots of stories.  Your interest in and appreciation of these special projects is extremely important in encouraging and stimulating your child’s desire to learn and grow.

Please check your child’s class activity calendar for special days such as Show-n-Tell and our Thanksgiving Feast where the children will become Pilgrims & Native Americans and all share something for the feast – more info will follow.

As the weather starts getting colder please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play – jeans or sweatpants and sneakers – and please, please, please make sure all of their belongings are labeled with their names – jackets, hats, gloves, etc.  Thanks.

Don’t forget to check the clothes in your child’s shoebox to make sure they have clothes for the colder season – some still have summer clothes in them.

Just as a reminder – school will be closed on Tuesday, November 12h in observation of Veterans Day.  School will also be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd for Thanksgiving.  School will reopen on Monday, November 26th.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding our program or your child please feel free to call or drop by at any time.  Remember, our door is always open.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Sincerely,

Carol, Laurie and Staff
